I love Final Fantasy X. Beyond the charming world and touching story, every character has an interesting, relatable arc that ultimately leads to 'happiness'.. but not without great sacrifice, shattered beliefs or conventions; essentially leading to a rock bottom point that requires a complete reboot of mental perspective and worldview, and the discarding of self in the favor of compassion.

My journey since the beginning of 2018 was much like Yuna's. For the past few years, I've been battling my own Sin. And no matter how hard I fought, how much I wanted it all to end, Sin would not go away. It kept coming back. In the face of self-doubt and wavering faith, I could only ever find respite in a merely temporary, fleeting calm.

However, in the wake of great fear and sacrifice comes the revelation that against all odds and reason, eternal calm is indeed attainable.

Today marks the first year of my recovery, freed of the shackles of my condition which progressively inhibited my thinking for the last decade. I've been given a second life, one beyond my wildest expectations. This record is a chronicle of my life in recovery, my life after Sin. These songs are the manifestation of the serenity, comfort, and joy that I have been blessed with after years of hopeless fighting, false hope, and the disillusion of a temporary calm. The fighting is over. Now, I can live boldly and freely.

I hope this music can bring the listener as much joy as it did for me to create.
